Been Fishing!!

On Tuesday 19th, my brothers rang and disturbed my sleep in - I am on holiday!! Anyway they picked me up at 8.30am and we headed for Bluff to go for a day's fishing with brothers wifes uncle... great day - it started off a bit choppy or sloppy as the fishermen call it... and we weren't catching anything. So headed off to another spot and started dragging them up like flies in this one very little spot.

Southland Rowing Regatta

Am currently organising a Southland Legion of Rowers Regatta for this Saturday and Sunday. Will be a very interesting day for everyone. Hopefully the weather leaves a lasting impression - we don't mind if it is cold as long as the water is flat.

Scary thing is my coach has entered me for two races on Saturday.... one of them is a 1km race...will be interesting.

Afternoon at Otara Private Beach

On a Saturday recently I spent the afternoon with my brother's inlaws at a private beach at Otara. Wow, what a beach.

Great Ride

A few off us decided it was a beautiful day here in Southland so went for a ride to Curio Bay for an icecream then back home again. I think everyone enjoyed their time. Sorry no faces, just look at the great scenery.

Fruit Season

A very good friend brought me about 4kgs of apricots during the week. Today I bottled the Apricot Sauce I made. I was surprised how many bottles I got.

A Night out

Well yesterday two very good friends and I decided (well they decided - I tagged along....hehe) that we were going to do something weird and wonderful. Ideas were to take tea to the beach with the boogy boards and watch the stars and moon come up then go to Cabbage Tree for tea.

Well we ended up picking up Thai Dee, drive along the beach then to a hut just out of town on the back road, down a narrow four-wheel drive track where we stayed the night. Was great to sleep in. We had a very healthy breakfast of fruit and meusli instead of the usual extravagent pancakes, bacon and eggs.

Unfortuantely we couldn't relax there for the day as I had to be at milking by 11am, thus we had to be left by 10am.

Why or Wii or Kinect

After visiting Robert and Sarah, you don't have to do any exercise outside your home if you have a Kinect with a camera..... you get some really good laughs as well. Here are the boys having a race. Sarah and I had a go as well.... sorry the photos weren't publishable!! hehe
